In Pakistan, natural disasters such as earthquakes and monsoon floods claim thousands of lives each year. Millions more are affected and billions of Pakistani rupees worth of infrastructure are damaged as a result of such calamities.

Sharing Data throughout Pakistan

The Open Data for Resilience Initiative supports the DisasterInfo GeoNode for disaster risk management data sharing and use in Pakistan. The initiative has also assisted in training more than 90 people on using OpenStreetMap, the GeoNode, or on QGIS and InaSAFE.
